About

Hi, I’m Napalai Poorirerngpoom, MD

most people call me Phone.
I’m Thai and currently based in Bangkok.
And yes, Thai people really do have nicknames like “Phone.”

I’m a physician, longevity strategist, researcher, and systems thinker
exploring how we can live not only longer, but better.

My work sits at the intersection of longevity medicine, preventive health,
behavioral science, healthcare systems, and human performance.

ON HEALTH, GROWTH & LONGEVITY

My Philosophy

I believe health is not simply the absence of disease.

It’s the ability to wake up with energy.
To think clearly.
To feel emotionally grounded.
To have the capacity to work, love, create, rest, and enjoy life fully.

To me, longevity is not just about extending lifespan.

It’s about protecting the quality of our years,
physically, mentally, emotionally, and intellectually.

HOW IT STARTED

My Journey

I originally entered medicine believing deeply in prevention,
helping people before disease develops, not only after something goes wrong.

Ironically, becoming a doctor made me realize
how much conventional medicine focuses on disease rather than health itself.

During my early years working in preventive medicine and health check-up clinics,
I met many people who were technically “healthy” on paper, yet exhausted in real life.

That curiosity led me deeper into anti-aging and regenerative medicine, longevity, nutrition,
metabolic health, behavioral science, and systems thinking.

At one point, it genuinely felt like relearning medicine from the beginning,
this time through the lens of optimization, prevention, and root-cause thinking.

CURIOSITY AS A WAY OF LIFE

Beyond the Clinic

My career has never existed only inside examination rooms.

I’ve worked across public hospitals, private wellness clinics, corporate health programs,
digital therapeutics, healthcare analytics, research, and multidisciplinary wellness teams.

Those experiences shaped how I think about health:
not as isolated lab values or quick fixes, but as a system deeply connected to behavior,
environment, stress, purpose, and modern life itself.

Some days my work involves seeing patients.
Other days it means:

  • designing healthcare systems
  • analyzing data
  • writing articles
  • building educational content
  • speaking at events
  • or collaborating on new wellness ideas and projects

I enjoy connecting medicine with communication, technology, psychology, creativity, and systems design.
